The |Type…| dialog sets text values for color and the font’s font family, size, and style.
Autosize: the dialog sets values for autosize display in line objects.

|Mode| the mode indicates what type of text is modified.
|Local| dialog values show font values for the next character typed while editing text. If some text is selected, it will be changed.
|Global| the dialog shows default values for newly created text objects. Values are applied to all selected objects.
|Font:| set the font family.

|Color:| if on, then the preview (below to the right) will be displayed in color, as permitted. Also, for 8-color mode, the 8 colors will be shown as colors, rather than names.

|Preview| shows a sample of text with the current font. If the color box is set, then the color is also shown. Text sizes greater than 72 are previewed at size 72. If the box in the lower-right corner is filled, it is an ATM font.
|Picker| allows choice of any color. This method is available with Color Quickdraw.
|Color:| allows selection of 8 or 256 colors. If you have 8-colors, the color checkbox can be used to show color. If in 256 colors, the palette colors can also be changed - see |Color Palette…| in the |Project| menu.

|Style| Set the style values.

|Size Select:| Set a size by clicking on the appropriate value; you may need to scroll to other values. Hold the Option key to scale by current magnification level.
|Size Entry:| Set the size by entering a value from 1 to 255.
